Piper and drummer during the day
•
Both in full number one dress.
• Would arrive at ceremony half an hour before guests arrive
to play as they enter the church/hall etc.
• Piper and drummer collect the car at the gate and march
to the front of the venue.
• The piper will play the bride up the aisle.
• They will then play again outside the ceremony as guests
come out. This includes a photo of the bride and groom with the
piper and drummer with ceremonial swords drawn.
• They will then travel to reception (if not same venue) and
play in the guests to the top table and the bride and groom.
• This includes the playing the bride and groom to the cake
where the drummer presents a sword for cutting the cake. They will
then play you over to the top table and propose a short toast. |
